Ventilation and Cooling
An effective greenhouse design can provide the ideal microclimate for the crops growing within.
Passive cooling can be achieved through ventilation openings and retractable roof panels that can be closed manually or automatically to prevent the entry of rain or insects.
Active cooling methods, such as jet fans, misting, and air-conditioning, do not need to be kept running 24/7 with a smart control system. Through the system’s control panel, these devices will be switched on only when required, and switched off once the parameters are back to below threshold levels.
To cut light penetration during harsh sunlight hours, retractable shading systems with light sensors can also be installed. UV light can also be reduced with UV cut ETFE film for plant and equipment that are more prone to UV damage.
